Equity names

Equity

I was looking at the Equity website to make sure that my name is able to be used when it comes to having an equity and being part of the directory.  The link that I used to have look was http://www.equity.org.uk/directory-of-members/ : this took me to the directory to search names in the equity directory. I searched my name and luckily Sophie Shepherd has not been taken in the Equity Directory meaning that I would be able to keep my name once I gain an equity. 

In class today as a class we were talking about our names and some people are happy at the idea of possibly changing their name. For instance Cherkanah is an unusual name and she as a 2 syllable surname so Rachel suggested possibly changing her surname to a one syllable surname, like May for instance to have a good tone to the name. Meaning she would change her stage name to Cherkanah May.
