Other Work Opportunities

Other Work Opportunities

There are other fields of work in the industry that I could apply for now as job experience in the performance industry other than being on stage. Possible jobs that I have found are from websites that involve work as admin front of house, redcoats at butlins and waitressing in a restaurant in a theatre. All of these jobs have a connection to the performance industry  however the main focus for these other work opportunities for myself is to add more experience and show my willingness to try anything and gain further skills.

I have found 3 job titles and descriptions. Further to these job descriptions I will write 3 letters to each company to apply for the job which i will create on 3 different posts.

3 job application possibilities in connection to the performance industry:

Front of House Senior
Theatre Royal Winchester

Job Specification
Theatre Royal Winchester is recruiting two Front of House Seniors to support the Theatre Manager in the continual development of the Front of House and Box Office team. The ideal candidates will have already worked in an arts organisation and have significant experience of Box Office and Front of House operations.

Butlins Redcoat
Job Specification:
Redcoats work in: General duties, the Kid's Club and the costume character team. General duties are similar to those of a tour rep in a resort. The glitz and glamour side of it comes in the evening when the Redcoats form part of the live entertainment team. Gang shows, X-Factor style game shows and a "celebrity pop academy" are the sorts of things wannabe Redcoats can expect to be starring in. The salary is around £12,000 to £14,000 a year, according to the company.
