Cats Workshop: Devised piece evaluation

Looking at the piece that I choreographed for the devised part of the unit I can see
the use of fragmentation in the piece. When the Paparazzi and Journalists enter I instructed them to do 4 movements and then have them rearrange them. As there was only 2  people so one person on each side as part of the groups it was difficult to show this, so on a full scale it would appear a busy atmosphere and the two groups of people would be busy doing the movements which have been fragmented. I also used the use of round by through where the models are being interrogated by the paparazzi and journalists so the groups of people are arranging the models into positions and manipulating them.


To develop this a further piece of choreography it needs a big number of people as I really don't feel with the small amount of us that I am portraying the theme very well. I can imagine a mad rush of people fighting over getting to the front of the cat walk to get the best interviews or pictures of models. The use of props are a must in this song as I would like the paparazzi to have camera and have the journalists have note pads and pens. As further development I will be of course singing as my character when this song is playing so in some ways this will then create a better atmosphere to the piece and I will be able to be involved more when singing and knowing the words.
