Dance Lesson on Bugsy Malone Choreography
In this lesson we further looked at our choreography for Down and Out and added a bit more to our dance.
Here is what it is looking like:
This lesson was difficult as quite a few people were missing so it was difficult to gauge how the piece is going to look as it is hard not knowing the placing of where everyone is.
What needs to be improved on by everyone is getting into the character and the use of dynamics on the piece so really perform it well so showing the stomping being fed up.
Following this lesson we then spoke to Rachel and she said she wanted us being on the stage blocks which will be in front of where the rig will be as the seating for audience is on tables so we wouldn't be able to do our formation so we now need to rearrange it and put people up on the stage blocks as well as having them in front. We can have people walk through the audience but our original formations we are going to have to change. We can still use the content of what we have created and choreographed it is now we need to re think our spacing which is starting to prove difficult because of finding rehearsal space and time for us to practice and rehearse. To save time we can repeat movements which would then enable us to not spend lots of time creating new material so instead we could maybe fragment some phrases that we already have and reorder them.
