First Lesson Starting Bugsy Malone choreography

First Lesson Starting Bugsy Malone choreography

In this lesson we started on creating some material and some motifs to begin our choreograph for 'Down and Out'. We had another look at the original film choreography to get some inspiration. We started on having a look at the military and uniform idea and the use of a bowl and spoon so we started off by having people march in on the 'Down down down down, down down down and out' lyrics to start of the piece until we are in a line. From there we used a set phrase and re-ordered it and used canon to then go down the line to do our phrase of 4 movements twice.
Here is the clip to our video to show what we came up with for our first lesson on creating material.

Looking at this clip of our first try of creating motifs we have created a good start and a good use of space and formations. what we need to do now with our choreography is to create more material ad check with Rachel where we will be performing in the space as it is cabaret seating and so the formations that we have created may not be able to work in the space. Also we need to start creating more material and extend on what we have already done.
